Meet the Provider

Dr. Sophia Falana, DNP-PMHNP-BC, is a Doctor of Nursing Practice and board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience providing care across acute, correctional, and community-based settings. She has worked with a wide range of patients, including individuals with complex mental health conditions, substance use disorders, and co-occurring diagnoses.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Florida A&M University and her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from the University of Arizona, where she specialized in psychiatric mental health care across the lifespan. She also completed a Telemedicine Rural Health Certification through the University of Arizona, further strengthening her ability to provide accessible, high-quality care through virtual platforms.

While her training includes the assessment and treatment of patients across the lifespan, her current practice is focused on adult psychiatric care.

Her clinical background includes high-acuity environments where timely assessment, sound clinical judgment, and structured treatment planning are essential. This experience has shaped her ability to provide focused, effective care tailored to each patient’s needs.
